英検１級 作文対策①

こんにちは、わにです。

イギリスといえば英語、英語はEnglish、イギリス人の方をEnglish（British）と呼ぶこともありますよね。

さほど大きくない島国で話されていたEnglishが今や世界共通語に、、、もしそれが「日本語」だったら、、、改めて考えるとすごい。。とたまに身震いしているわにです。

それはさておき、今回は趣向を変えて、わにが英検１級取得に向け練習していた英作文を公開してみたいと思います。

わには

・2015年に英検１級を受験

・かなりギリギリでしたが、作文の点数だけは配点２８点中２４点。これに助けられ、なんとか合格

作文は正解がないので迷われることも多いかと思いますが、少しでもご参考になればいいなと思い、公開してみます。

初回のテーマは「現代の新聞の役割について」

-The role of newspaper today-

      Now that the internet is ubiquitous, it is often said that newspaper is no longer important. However, I think the benefit of newspaper have come to rather stand out thanks to the spread of the internet. Let me explain some of them by looking at the characteristics of the internet and newspaper.

     First, newspaper gives you broad information. If you think of the internet, you go to the Internet Explorer and find materials you are interested in, which means you are already choosing what to see from the beginning. Newspaper on the other hand, the articles with various kinds of information catch your eyes whether you are interested or not.

     Second is accuracy. We, as individuals, can upload anything on the internet for free, and everyone can see when they wish. Thus wrong or biased information can be easily exposed and you need to be capable of selecting reasonable materials. It is certainly true that newspapers also publish one-sided reports or opinions, but for the newspaper, so many people would check the source and articles not to spread misleading information.

     Therefore I think the aspects will become more instrumental in the future and I hope many more people are aware of the facts.
